The syntax for the TREND function in Microsoft Excel is: TREND(known_y's, known_x's, new_x's, const) Arguments known_y's The known y-values that you want to use to predict unknown y-values. known_x's The known x-values that you want to use to predict unknown y-values. new_x's The new x-values that you want to use to predict unknown y-values. const A logical value that specifies whether to force the constant b to equal 0. About TREND Excel Function
The TREND function is used to calculate a linear trend line through a given set of y-values and to extend the line to predict additional y-values. The TREND function uses the least squares method to calculate the line of best fit.
