Syntax and Description of the QUARTILE.EXC Excel Function
The QUARTILE.EXC function in Excel returns the quartile of a data set, based on a percentile value that you specify. The quartiles of a data set are the values that divide the data set into four equal parts. The QUARTILE.EXC function takes two arguments: array - The array or range of data that you want to quartile. quart - The quartile value that you want to return. This value must be between 0 and 1. For example, the following formula returns the first quartile of the data in cells A1-A5: =QUARTILE.EXC(A1:A5,0.25)
