Syntax and Description of the GAMMA.INV Excel Function

The syntax for the GAMMA.INV function in Microsoft Excel is: GAMMA.INV( x, alpha, beta, [a], [b] ) Where: x – The value for which we want to find the inverse gamma. alpha – The shape parameter of the gamma distribution. beta – The scale parameter of the gamma distribution. [a] – The lower limit of the gamma distribution. This is an optional parameter and if omitted, the default value is 0. [b] – The upper limit of the gamma distribution. This is an optional parameter and if omitted, the default value is 1.
