Syntax and Description of the DVARP Excel Function

In excel, I'm trying to use the DVARP function to find the variance of a column. I have a date in column A and the data I'm looking to get the variance of is in column B.
I've tried
=DVARP(A:A,B:B)
=DVARP(A:B)
=DVARP(A1:A25,B1:B25)
and I always get the error: #NAME?
What is the correct syntax for this function?

You are missing the B
at the end of your syntax.
